Armanti is All-American caliber without any doubt and DeAndre Pressley is a very good freshman find in the same mold of Edwards. What many App fans are learning recently is App State coaches also recruited another QB who will compete head-to-head with Pressley and, has all of the ability and intelligence to help lead this Mountaineer team.
Jey Yokeley, a legit 6'4", 215lbs., with very good speed and mobility, will be arriving in July to begin team workouts with every intention to help this team at QB. A highly recruited QB by many D-I schools since his junior year in HS for his passing primarily and running abilities. Yet, truly undervalued during his senior year after transferring to a large public school with a power running attack, which did not take full advantage of Yokeley's skills and talents according to college recruiters. Despite a 74% completion percentage with only two interceptions all senior year, the volume of passing took a back seat to a powerful dbl. wing-T offense that did allow for Yokeley to run more. He is expected to take the already great Edwards' mold to a different level with excellent size/strength added to the mix of speed and arm strength/accuracy. Yokeley is able to take-on any defense in more of a Tebow mold by running past and through defenders, as well as strong passing ability.
With three talented QBs who can all start at the college level, App State should be in great shape this year and the next four years.
