Exactly 128 days (and counting) to the end of Intermission, there’s already some guessing going on as to exactly how good App State’s first foe is going to be.
According to one report’s best guess possibility estimate, East Carolina will be the team to beat in C-USA.

Conspiracy theorists, unite!
Today we read new details as to what exactly did or did not happen during the long, efficient, in-depth App State coaching search.
As we all know, Buzz Peterson was offered the job, then more than a week later declined it, then suddenly – BAM! – the job is his!

How excited are you about App State bball? Totally stoked! I’m so there for every home game next season! BUZZ BALL! BUZZ BALL! Depressing news from way up north – Richie Williams has been cut by the CFL’s Hamilton Ti-Cats franchise.
The reason? Too many QBs, with more on the way.

Pollard’s Pounders won for the 12th straight time in Boone yesterday, sweeping a series with Wofford and building a nice stockpile of confidence heading into the final month of the season.
Appalachian (26-17, 13-12 SoCon) won for the 13th time in 14 games overall and stretched its home winning streak to 12. Since opening the season at 6-14 and 1-9 in SoCon play, ASU has won 20-of-23 overall and 12-of-15 in conference action.

Several days ago we asked you Appfans to help coin a phrase for the 2009 season opener – App State at ECU. One slogan stood out, but there appeared to be some angst regarding it. So we’ll offer a second poll with fewer options. One addendum, we originally did not use the phrase “World’s Largest Outdoor BBQ” cause we aren’t familiar with indoor BBQs. But we got enough complaints to modify it.
