The guessing game. Once you get past No. 7 it’s all gobbledeegook.

Let’s run down a few of these transfers. Furman gets a self-assured former Bruin and a Vol receiver.

Terrier may miss 2009. He last played Helloween night.

Paladins looks to pound the ball. “The Paladins return 13 starters, including seven on offense led by preseason All-SoCon running back Mike Brown.”

Elon making no predictions. Last season wasn’t quite the power year they hoped.

    Talk about some undecisive rankings…

I still want to see Forcier destroyed on his first play from scrimmage against ASU. Maybe he can put a shot of Bozzo decapitating him on his sweet website.

Wonder how the other SOCON teams feel about T. Hudgins making such a bold prediction???

"And that’s when Elon star receiver Terrell Hudgins accurately predicted — it was more of a GUARANTEE, really — that the Phoenix and Appalachian State would square off with the league title on the line when the teams met in November."

That's what he said last year.

    This year:

“There’s no crystal ball this year,” Hudgins said. “We’re just going to try to play hard and play every game to the best of our abilities. I’m looking forward to it. All we can do is take each game one game at a time, but we hope we can get a conference ring.”

I know that Furman always seems to be tough every year but I get the feeling that they are sinking. There are too many improving teams in the SoCon. My guess is that the Paladins won't get it done and Lamb will be out as head coach. My wife and I watched their game on the tube against Georgia Southern and they looked lousy in a bad loss at home. It's hard for me to see them improving that much.
