The Panthers D is swiss cheese, Miami is stopping themselves. How many plays has the O been on the field, like 12 or so. I wonder if Cam will get a few snaps in the 3rd?
Orange, I cannot believe you are comparing this offense to last year. Were you saying any of this last week? Probably not. Every team has a bad game and I'm for damn sure Rivera will have the boys working extra hard this week in practice. If anything, blame the defense, but most importantly, quit complaining.
No, last week we looked good, this week we look bad. Statistically, very similar to what we saw last year (so far this game). Did I say we were going to be bad this year, no, I am saying this game our O looks very bad and similar to last year (no scoring, bad 3rd down completion, etc.)
BTW, its a blog, get over it. Are you really complainig about me not being happy with tonights performace? If so, I would'nt come here too often duing an APP game.

ABOUT APP STATE….I tried to get elon Vs. App and they are sold out. Does anyone have access to tickets sold when App visits vs other games of the year? Does Furman Sell twice as many tickets when App comes to town? I was shocked that Elon sold out. I need tickets for the elon game if anyone has extra.

According to that site, tickets for the App game won't go on sale until October 15..
Has it not dawned on anyone that over half of the panthers starters on defense and several on offense did not play last nite??? Preseason is nothing but a glorified practice…panthers are heading in the right direction but it doesn't happen overnight!!

and it will be worse this year due to the lock out and late start for all of the teams… preseason this year is even more of a "glorified practice" than ever… give it time, and probably have to give it a bit more time this time…

One thing is for sure, Reggie Bush is solid. At least the Panthers don't have to worry about dealing with him in conference anymore and how can New Orleans let him go like that?
Mark Ingram will be more useful that Reggie Bush. When Bush first arrived to the Saints he was doing it all, but lately in my opinion he kind of fell off. Reggie will have a good season with the Dolphins, minus the games against the Jets and Patriots.
AE has his position locked down which is why he didn't play as much last night.
Panthers should be concerned about Cam. Not impressive so far…and he has a bad attitude. Watch him every time a pass is missed. He acts like it is always the receivers fault.

Yeah, their website is a little hard to navigate. Use the link in prev post to see App tix don't go onsale to Oct 15th . . . which seems like an odd thing to do.
Nobody is saying the Panthers are going to be bad this year (I'm not), but they were bad for 3 quarters LAST NIGHT, especially in the trenches . . . regardless of who wasn't playing, the fact it was preseason, etc. I am very excited about this year, but no one can be happy with what they saw last night, unless you root for Miami.

The ceiling for the Panthers this year is 7-9 but I think it's more likely they finish with 5 or 6 wins. Our own division is just too strong. I can see the Panthers not winning a game against division teams this year. Maybe they could steal one from TB but certainly not NO or ATL.

It appeared to me the Panthers game plan revolved around the TE's. Ive seen a lot of press about the Panther's WR's not getting open. I saw AE open, Lafell open and Leegee (sp?) open, but Newton electing to go to the TE's.
Leegee? Maybe you were going for Legedu Naanee? People love to be dramatic about performance in preseason football games. They are nothing but glorified scrimmages. That fact is that the panthers were missing almost 10 starters from offense/defense combined. Most of the starters weren't in the game for very long anyways last night.
And yeah, the Panthers need a true #2 WR.

I pretty sure that the App St at Elon game is not Sold out. I think what is going on is the App St was given a certain amount of tickets from Elon for this game. All of those tickets have been Sold. Just like all the tickets that Virginia Tech gave App St are also sold. You should be able to go to Elon's website and buy tickets for this game starting Oct 15.
