This is how it looks to play App State

he got boo-boosPass the Bactine – “The deep-purple bruise on the inside of B.J. Coleman’s left arms was ghastly. The quarterback’s slow, pronounced limp looked unbearable. The bruise on his check was nasty. The Mountaineers’ unsparing defensive assault left UTC’s QB as a bruised and battered mess.” Insert snark on paying college players here.

I'd really like to read an article very similar to this one next week about the bruised up Wofford RB's….of course after an App win.

When was the last time you saw "blitz happy" and App State in the same sentence? Sweet!

Our D line man handled their o line. I hope our blitzes can be as impressive against other more seasoned o lines. This week we have to re-focus on our run defense.

"bruise on the inside of B.J. Coleman’s left arms was ghastly…"

That's why he couldn't play QB… he apparently has two left arms. That would be a detriment to any of us. 😉

So after the game Huesman said, "We should never have lost this football game. No way,” Huesman said seething. “That team is not better than us. There’s no way we should have lost this football game today."

Now he's saying, “App felt like it could line up and cover our guys one-on-one all day long, press them and be effective doing it,” Huesman said. “AND THEY DID…. Then they could put a bunch of people in there, blitz B.J., and stop the running game. Our wideouts have to play better, there’s no question about that.”

Can't have it both ways coach. If ASU lines up in man press/bump in run coverage and sends the kitchen sink and your guys can't get open or move the ball effectively, then wouldn't it suggest that ASU is better? The defense basically shut down the UTC run game, pounded the QB and held them well under their season average for offensive production. The vaunted UTC offense was SHUT DOWN!

    Nothing to see here …

    We have woofurd next …

They are seasoned and ready to whoop our tails … we had better be ready. Meaning we need to get back to our spread O and the team needs to not make any stupid crap penalties like taking their dang helmets off with 11 seconds to go. STUPID.
