Griz will finally see the light

Can't wait for return gameIlluminated – “After two years of deliberation, a plan is in motion to install lights and brighten up Washington-Grizzly Stadium. The lights, which are set to be in place before the start of the 2012 football season, will cost approximately $1M. Daylight saving time has plagued Montana on practice days and game days alike.”

That's what happens when you don't have a multiuse facility like Appalachian does. You say to yourself why don't they have lights? It makes you think they just now got electricity, e-lec-tricity, or they may think they are going to get night games in the future. It is a case of we're moving up, but we are not going to tell anyone just yet. What do you think?

I think they just want to make it even colder for their opponents by playing big games at night.

We need Wofford to beat Georgia Southern. Then Chattanooga who has been so close all season to take down Wofford. I don't care if it's a four way split for the SOCON title. It would be HISTORIC, 7 straight titles. (keeping fingers crossed)

Hello fellow Appfans. The lights will be nice at times, but don't plan to see alot of night games. Part of the reason was for security purposes on campus I heard. Anyways, the greatest game ever played there may have been ASU. Goodluck and hope to see you in the playoffs. Our big game is next weekend against the MSU bobkittens. Hope you check out http://www.egriz.com for the latest Griz news.

Those of us who like to see good competition from some standup guys do. Grizzly is a competitor but also a friend. Many of us will party together when they come to the rock.

I'm all for moving up and all, but I'm pretty sure we are 0-2 vs. Montana. Give respect where it is due. Our game with Montana next season is what I am looking forward to most from our schedule next season.

    John03,

Totally agree. That game should be awesome. Hosting Montana, a premier FCS team it is the closest thing to hosting an FBS team. I agree with the others that respect Montana, like Montana and wish them well. They have been a class act program for a long time and their fans a great example to many. These games are tough to always have on the schedule, but they are test of skill and competition, unlike Savannah State and A&T. I am looking forward to it.

I am so tired of this loser crap. We have 3L. If we play such losers what are you saying about our team. I just wish you guys that constantly talk about losers and jv would have the baiis to walk up to the players and tell them they are losing to losers. Just grow up. We have no losers down on that field on either side. This is a place to exchange ideas and do some bitching but shouls not be a place to show the rest of the world that we have idiots in our school.

Met my wife in Boone and she transferred with me to UM for grad schools. I hope for a UM/ASU matchup every year and the last one was the best game I have ever seen. Been a follower of AE ever since. We were shopping for plane tickets for next season's matchup just this week. Look forward to that game more than the Bobcat game, which is blasphemy in this neighborhood.
