NFL – Any Apps got playoff hopes?

green looks good on himHey Mr. DJ Smith remains an active special teams player for the league’s only undefeated team, the Green Bay Packers. They’ll look to stay perfect tomorrow night against Minnesota. San Fran is a surprising 7-1, but has yet to activate Daniel Kilgore for a game. Outside the two best teams in the league …… no Apps play for contenders. Denver is 3-5, and at Kansas City today. Tampa Bay is 4-4, and hosts Houston. And the Panthers are … /deep sigh … 2-6, and host Tennessee.

Really wish A.E. would have gotten a shot somewhere else.

It is just a giant step from us to the NFL. Here is why AE is really a star. He has a degree and is a smart kid. If he has been wise with his money he will be entering the working world with a lot more cash than most grads.

It's a shame that the Panthers' punt return unit is so horribly bad. Armanti's abilities will never bear fruit in that situation. Perhaps next year the Panthers will find a special teams coach and some players who can execute a return properly. If so, I hope Armanti stays in Carolina. I love being able to watch him play every Sunday. But realistically, it's probably better for him if he goes to a team that has competent special teams.

Just one decent block on punts would help.

AE – 2 PRs for 10 yds, long of 12, not sure how they took off 2 yds for the one that he was tackled as soon as he caught it

    Hunter – 1 solo tackle

    Corey – don't see anything

nb, was Sunday's game a lot different than any last year?

Obviously the team has improved, but they took a big step backwards last week…off a bye week…at home…against an average team.

If Armanti had broken a run like Marianni did they would have said…" yeah, well no one was near him so it was nothing special" I've seen 1 punt return this year where he made a bad cut.

He may get one more year and then he will be on another team or in Canada.

I was at that game on Sunday. It was pretty bad…well, no…it was terrible! But AE looked good and it was fun to be able to cheer for him again live and in person!
