“Do what I do best”

green looks good on himReady – “D.J. Smith went through his normal pregame routine on Thanksgiving Day, including calling his mother. She told him to play hard and to be ready because you never know what could happen. “I was like, ‘I love you, Mom,'” the Packers’ rookie inside linebacker said. “‘I’m going to play good for you.'” Yes. Yes, he did.” Smith likely will be the starter if either Bishop or Hawk is unable to play. “Doesn’t change my mentality,” Smith said. “Just stick to my routine. Do what I do best.””

Love the attitude and drive this young man brings to the field. It was great to see him get his opportunity and make the most of it on Thanksgiving. Good luck the rest of the season DJ.

One of the many reasons it's easy to pull for Green Bay right now.

    GO PACKERS!!!! and Panthers!!!

I guess it is okay to pull for them now. Better than than anything the AFC is bringing to the table.

I sat behind DJ's mom at the APP games. She did not miss a game and (he says with a sigh thinking of the slackers that leave at halftime) she stayed for all four quarters of every game.

If you go to the NFL website and then go to the shop, you can customize a jersey and you can put any players name on it.

Does it make you feel old when you call NFL players "young man", Jamey? :p

Softball (as in easy, not the sport) quiz: What do the Packers, UNC-C, Baylor and William & Mary have in common?

Yes, partially correct at least, 7. Their school/team colors are all some combination of green and yellow (or gold, if they call yellow “gold,” as we have for years).
