AE has been in for a few offensive plays as well…..faked a misdirection to him.

Haven't seen him have a returnable kick off. Did return 1 punt for about 12-13 yards….looked fast doing it too

‎"In this case it was the rookie who got the start today with a calf injury by Desmond Bishop, ***D.J. Smith*** who got that late pressure on Eli Manning that led to that throw, led to a pick and the first touchdown of the season for Clay Matthews."

Great stuff from DJ. Its really cool watching him play for a good team.

I did see AE lined up in a typicall Running back position today. It was third down early in the game, they gave it to the fullback, but faked the pitch outside to AE. Wild. They are getting him on the feild, always good to see. They do consider this his rookie year. He will be around for a while.

I was somewhat dissappointed in Armanti's one kickoff return today. Since he had to field it on the one, he had no choice but to return it, but there was nowhere to go except right into the wall of orange that was the Tampa Bay kick coverage team. His one punt return opportunity was OK; he moved out quickly and did look decisive. It appeared that he mishandled the ball slightly (he had to field it running to his right), but he did get it under control and got it upfield.

So once again, nothing spectacular, nothing bad. It did bother me a bit that late in the game they ran a play clearly designed to give another receiver, Arijotutu, an easy catch. That should have been Armanti getting looks.
