Don't Miss

Guess what fell in the Duck Pond

Poor fishWe’ve seen goal posts thrown in. We’ve seen late night nudists take a jump. And there’s a polar plunge every year. But dude – “Four Appalachian State University students were frigid but safe late Saturday night after their vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into the ASU Duck Pond.” Before anyone asks, no .. we don’t know if any of the mutant goldfish there were injured. Though, from what we’ve seen, there’s at least one fish in that pond that would dent that car, or at least eat a tire.

Looks like a nice car too. Doesnt beat the story I heard on the radio this morning about a woman who drove her car into a dairy farm waste pond in Idaho and set in the car for 5 days before seeking help.

now, I'm waiting for some dumb ass to say that it was a member of the football team.

IT WAS IT WAS They drive 10-15 cars in the pond every year but all the other times it is covered up. I remember one time they drove the team bus in there and it was cover up.

    January 30, 2012 at 6:37 am

I remember that sideline. Half the team perished. Luckily, the athletic dept. was able to clone the doomed players from DNA samples they had secretly collected. Nobody was the wiser…until now.

If I were you I would go underground. You have blown the coverup and the athletic department has put out a hit on you. If they catch you they have vowed to shut you up. You know those other things that have been happening over the years? you think they want you to spill that?

poor driver recruiting and development. Equipment was also inferior…probably driving a Volt, funded by taxpayers.

Ok I heard what happened. Fred was giving Yosef82 road head on their way up to KBS to heckle coach Moore. When they drove up Stadium, one of those kids from that new movie Chronicle sent the two douche bags into Duck Pond with a wave of his hand. He was a real App fan.

Parents are pissed I bet. Don't give a young boy that much of a car(we can't control ourselves at that age), especially with girls around.

30 seconds before Stang goes swimming: "Hey ladies, watch this!"

Same thing will be said at a party, usually involving gasoline, but the "amberlamps" will need to be called.

you all are hilarious! on another note, i found something cool .. #3 on Bleacher Report's "50 Things We Learned from the Senior Bowl":

Brick Quick Could Be a Solid Receiver in the NFL-

A lot of times, players from smaller schools like Appalachian State surprise and make it big, and I like Quick's chances in the pro game.

Quick had some issues with dropped passes in the beginning of the week but came on strong as the week went on.

He could be a Pierre Garcon-type receiver in the NFL and could be a steal for some team in the second or third round.

On the football recruiting front, do we think we have a shot of getting Favian Upshaw to decommit from FIU and commit to ASU if Mario Cristobal becomes the new coach at Rutgers?

Not sure if anyone had heard of anything with this recruit. Not sure if it is just that he wants to stay in FL or if we would have a shot at getting him late?

  24. Dr. Gonzo

Mario Cristobal reported to have told his FIU players he was staying according to footballscoop/Twitter.

Let's see…the state university of NJ (Rutgers) or FIU? Hmmm only about $1-2 million difference in the salary (likely). He would be an idiot not to take the Rutgers offer.

looks like he's staying at FIU. wow, what a dumb ass. Good luck winning the Sun Belt. Take the money and the NY TV market, do a good job, and write your ticket. Rutgers is still a buy low, sell high opportunity.
