You know who Brian Quick reminds me of?

Anywhere but MiamiComparisons – “Brian is a huge 6’4” 220 lbs., physical specimen, who I compare ironically enough, to Brandon Marshall. The way Brian runs routes, catches the ball, and even holds the ball while running, is almost exact to Marshall. He possesses that uncanny break away speed with the ball in his hands, not to mention, he has above average hands.” The Quickness is getting plenty of press – “The most important mark was his 1.47-second 10-yard split, which shows he has great initial burst.”

Sounds like we should have got him the ball 50 times against VaTech.

Hope he does well in the NFL. Would think that he will.

Would have loved to see him in Satterfield's offense. At least he got a little bit of time with him during his redshirt year.

I still won't ever forget his block of the first FG attempt against Michigan in 2007. Everyone remembers Lynch's block but few remember Quick's.

That is the second Mountaineer to be compared to Brandon Marshall in less than a year. At least this one wasn't related to being stabbed by his girlfriend.

Bruce, I was at the VT game and looked extensively at Brian versus J. Hosley at the first part of the embarrassing beyond belief and 1972 graduate ashamed game that could have reached epic portion loss approximating 150-200 points. My son, a VT graduate, kept a commentary going every few times that the ASU defense made a tackle and the offense picked up at least 15 inches.

To make a long story even longer, Quick made headway against the 2-4 teams. VT played everyone except their second string quarterback.

In a year or so, Brian Quick might own Jayron but it was neigh onto impossible to throw to him while Hosley played.

My boss, a Lieutenant General who graduated from West Point, even mentioned the 66-13 screamer in a staff meeting with senior staff. I could only mention that we were playing on the opponents home field and not at ASU (my rejoinder was so very pathetic).

Michigan will not take a knee with several minutes remaining while playing their 60-80 related players!
