We’ve always been kinda meh with scrimmages, so please forgive us for not hyping .. /Allen Iverson voice .. practice. Besides, we’re preoccupied anyway.

GOOD NEWS OR BAD? So confused – “Satterfield’s offense came to life in the Mountaineers’ final scrimmage of spring practices. The Mountaineers, which struggled against the team’s defense in two other scrimmages, broke through to score touchdowns on three straight early drives in the Saturday morning event that was played in front of about 200 fans who made the trip to Kidd Brewer Stadium.”

Different subject-Just saw that Mitch Woods was transferring. As bad as we played in the last half in the loss in Asheville he never left the bench. I don't blame him!! Mr. Harrill you better do something fast or we are up s^%$ creek.

Never thought I'd see the day when it would cost more to see us play Elon than Furman or Wofford…

Woods was terrible. That's why he never saw the court.

Robert… Your on the right track. Planning is key on this one. It is all about legacy and wanting to engrain your child in a tradition and make him/ her part of something bigger than themselves, an extended family that he or she will have forever. And honey this is 7 or so times a year I get to bond with my child sharing something I love.

On a football note : Sean Price could be a beast. Nice one handed catch at the scrimmage. Big hits from the defense – JJ looks very relaxed and really in tune with his players' routes. Our inside blocking for the run game looks improved from the outsider's perspective – lots of fired up coaches!!

Our four horsemen running backs will prove themselves.

….and the jet formation of satterfield yesteryears is obviously back. saw lots of looks with TE's and even some fullbacks in motion in the back field.

Steve behr was wrong. Kalik didn't get on the field. That was kameron Bryant at 2nd string. I am impressed by price and his potential. Holloway is a great rb, but we need to redshift someone. Miller, Morgan, holloway, chisolm, and Frazier? Too much talent to waste. Frazier needs to go back to LB, since we have lost several for one reason or another

ASU scrimmages don't really tell us anything… if the offense is doing well does that mean our defense is lacking? and vice versa?…. eh pointless news.

If you think ticket prices are high now, just wait 'til we make "the jump!" 🙁 I'll either have to get my band uniform and drum back or be wearing a helmet and pads to even get through the gate!$!$!$!

    hey app forever….

mitch woods was busted with marijuana. but if you want that scumbag on the team go ahead and follow his career.

Did I miss something? Did he do something else too? Because if you call a guy a scum bag just for getting caught with marijuana, perhaps you aren't as familiar with Appalachian State as you think…. If you did a little research, you might not want to come to the campus again

Thank god we have this young man to develop… should be a go to WR like Brian Quick was. For those of you unfamilar with Price he is a 6 foot 5 inch, 200 lbs redshirt freshman with alot of potential… and he has room to bulk up…. can't wait to see this man in action!

Also, considering satterfield likes to uses more TE packages in the offense, Trevor Sawyer could have a good year if he stays healthy. 6-6 225 lbs who dominated in HS along side Holloway. I expect him to make an impact this year.

Me too! Trevor Sawyer has a very high ceiling. Let's hope he fits well in the system, because a guy with his size and athletic ability could create some mismatches and be a serious red zone threat.

ASU-LAW you could have seen him in action this past weekend at the scrimmage you don't care about. He made an amazing one handed catch in stride…He should be a baller

    April 2, 2012 at 12:09 pm

Not promoting it, just saying it would take more than a minor pot possession charge for me to call someone a scum bag.

Of all the articles to make that comment, you choose the one where I made two comments about how smoking pot doesn't make you a scum bag. Interesting. Straw, camel's back ect? Anyway, I really could care less if I get under your skin. If you prefer ignorant posters, there's plenty on here to suit your preference. Good day sir. Cynicism makes you look pretty douchy. People like that get under my skin.

    Oh and go f*** yosef

Have it on good authority that Dr. Gonzo does, in fact, know it all!

Also, he's right about the weed comment. Ridiculous that we disparage anyone for mary jane usage.

Robert, tell Kim you are renewing them so that you and I can escape our new additions and remember the days where we CHOSE not to sleep. I am sure she will understand. Heck, just send her to Charlotte and the kids can play together.

interesting that the offense is now looking to pass to the TE's after they lost their best one in school history (that they never used) too little too late if you ask me. Dont know if I'm over last season yet

    April 4, 2012 at 7:21 pm

If smoking pot makes you a scumbag, then we should have change the name to Appalachian Scumbag University many years ago. The only reason I would fault a player for marijuana usage is if it prevents them from taking the field and hurts their team. That is more about not being responsible for your brothers on the field, not your recreational preferences.
