The “Sweet and Low Only” “No Equal” slogan is back, which we’re sure inspires giggles from Furman, Wofford and Maine. There are also three sponsors on the poster, which means three times the cha-ching.
We’re excited for the season (71 days!) and will eventually get back to some more regular updating. Right now the beach is calling and our perfect tan is a-l-m-o-s-t there.

Really disappointed to see this slogan return for yet another season. No one on Planet Earth loves App football more than I do, but I've never liked the "No Equal" thing. It just doesn't make sense and doesn't fit…especially after the past two years. We're sending the "no one is as good as we are" message but clearly that just wasn't true. Are they trying to just keep this until there IS "No Equal"? C'mon now…can't we come up with something new?
The "Mummy of Myrtle Beach" is……….ugh…….apparently alive and, well, NOT SO WELL. But, what the hey, he/she died 3-4-5 thousand years ago so that pic probably ain't so bad. It does make JM look like a spring chicken when a comparison is made. 71 days and counting, oh yeah. Be afraid Pirates, be VERY afraid!!!

Has anyone else noticed that ALL of the little pocket schedule cards have Jerry's picture on them instead of ANY of the players? Should we read anything into this?

I picked up some pocket scheds at the book store last Monday with JJ's pic and someone else behind him…..the right side of the No Equal poster
The "No Equal" slogan is back because the marketing campaign for it is three years. I myself am expecting a lot of "new" next year. But for now, embrace it and fight on.
Can't decide which is worse. Two years of getting kicked in the teeth as a team with No Equal, or the 1996 season billed as Unfinished Business. After undefeated 1995 regular season and stunning loss to SF Austin in the 2nd round of the playoffs the 96 Apps were loaded. 16 returning starters, 22 upper classmen on the 24 deep chart, Coakley's Sr season and probably the best O-line in ASU history. Stumbled to a 7-4 season.
Thanks for clarifying the schedule card pics. The ones with JM are all I've seen up here on the mountain.
As for the "No Equal"…I'd just like something new since this one is kinda gone stale. I liked it the first year but then it got a little old. JMO
