Superman yet to encounter financial kryptonite

That’s one proud departmentRule of life – Pro athletes are dumb with money.

Uh-mazingly dumb with money. Even those with a knack for business can be knocked, or simply fleeced.

So it does our hearts proud to know one App State great ain’t going out like that .. he ain’t going out like that (He ain’t going out!)

According to Mrs. Superman, Corey Lynch is as good with his money as he is with his hands.

He is very wise with his money,” explains Cissie. “Unfortunately we’re surrounded by people who are not.” Her husband Corey drives a Prius and for years Cissie drove her grandmother’s Volvo station wagon. Corey doesn’t buy anything unless it’s on sale and he even makes extra cash selling his teammates’ castoffs and selling them on eBay or Craigslist. When other NFL wives are upgrading their diamonds, Corey is a more practical gift-giver. “My husband gave me a blender,” Cissie laughs. “True story.”

We’ll assume it wasn’t the Blendtec Smoother Q-Series 20 Amp. Not when a GE 17-Piece Single Serve Rocket Blender will do.

(yes fellow readers, I'm going to comment on jerseys)

The jerseys in that picture are the best we ever had – never should have copied Miami.

AppFan is clearly desperate for content. When I can't sleep later, I'll dial up this "news."

If you think the jerseys are the reason for winning National Championships, then I'm worried for you 🙂

Hey pelican, you're more than welcome to come up with some more worthy App related news stories if you'd like. We'd love to read them. Unfortunately it's the dead of summer and not too much is shakin.

Unless you want to talk some more about the FCS/FBS conundrum? But I think we've been beating that dead horse repeatedly.

It is better than nothing. I actually appreciate it. Come back in a month or two. We'll be happy to do without your comments until then.

If you look good you feel good. When App started winning National Championships I remember seeing Montana in thoses same uniforms. Different colors of course. Clothes do make the Man or Woman, as the case may be. Also wasn't that the same year Appalachian started getting stickers?

Is Corey Lynch with a an NFL Team yet, the last time I was on this site, he was doing a "fishing show" in Florida and was just let go and is now a free agent, if I am wrong about this please let me know, great to hear a former APP GRAD is managing his finaces well, does not hurt to have a great spouse as well, it all really depends I think on the way you were raised by your parents, grandparents, uncle, aunt, god mother whatever, so that just goes to show you and every other athlete that it can be done, your football career will not last forever, the great players stick around for awhile if they are lucky and do not get hurt, we have had some great college graduates come out of Appalachian State and played professional football, some longert than others, some with more potenial than others but some did not bring there "A" Game to the "Pros" and thus are floating around year to year trying to find a team to play with, overall we have done well in the NFL, let's hope "Quick" can play up to his potenial in the NFL and not get greedy and think he is better than everyone else, don't think that will happen but the salaries play a major part in players attitudes when entering the professional ranks!!
