Fan Fest is today

AwwwwwTailgating. The marching band. Football. And air walks. It’s good to wake up on Saturday again. It all starts at 4 with the family events and autograph session. Scrimmage begins at 6. Then there’s a former Paladin crooning on stage at 8:30. “Tailgating will be permitted throughout the day (including during the event).”

Just saw Armanti rolling into town on 321.

BQ just scored a TD, then they reversed the call and marked it down on the 3 inch line, looked too close to overturn to me.

Anyone that's missing it, DO is actually getting some playing time for San Diego tonight returning punts. Radio announcers sound generally impressed.

That's supposed to say DP. Sorry. I'm typing on my phone.

DP in at corner now… Playing well.

Last possession, he jumped a route and tipped a pass that was picked by Wright for a long return.

anyone have any luck figuring out the definition of "tuggs"….it's not on urban dictionary, so it's so fresh it's not even in a rap song yet

  • Murray

Try thr Ebonic dictionary for "tuggs."

I think it's a type of wide reciever route. That was a pretty dumb thing to say Murray, but what's new.

Just wanted to vent one small gripe here and see what anyone might have to suggest. Fanfest was a huge success and the Short Bus crew had a blast. The reports say it was attended by 7000+. They encouraged tailgating in Stadium lot to further enhance the gameday feel. What was missing???!!! How bout a bathroom for those 7000+ people to use???!!! Not ONE single portajohn. I think its a glaring oversight. Does anyone else?

This year’s Fanfest was the best organized in recent memory. It was a smooth running event and I think all that attended had a good time. Yes the port-a- john situation was bad and should be corrected next year. But, with that being said it was a super good event.

I am always impressed with our players. They are all polite and very respectful. They appear to be fine young men that are goal orientated. I take pride in the fact that they conduct themselves in that manner. I have had an association with the Arkansas, UNC and Georgia programs in the past as I have lived in several states during the course of my adult life. The way our guys conduct themselves in public make the players in these other programs I have been around look like “Thugs”.

We are very luck indeed to have a program that produces such fine young gentlemen. I am sure that trend will continue in the future. If you are an ASU Football Fan and you were not proud our guys Saturday then you have forgotten what college football is all about.

To sum it up….they are class all the way!

I really thought that they were more than 7000 in attendance. Did anyone else?

Really enjoyed Fanfest. Seemed like a lot more than 7K in attendance, especially when looking at how full the West stands appeared and even brief waits at the concessions. Both Stadium/Justice and Raley/Duncan lots were pretty full. I second Yosef82. Our players were all very classy and more than happy for photos autographs etc. As for the scrimmage, I'm glad we have 2 weeks to get ready for ECU, but we may have another star wearing #14. Sean Price was impressive to me. The Oregon transfer, Sumler; looked decent and took a couple of big time hits without any ill effects. Also showed his speed and hustle by chasing down and tackling Blaylock short of the goal line on a fumble recovery.
