Early reviews of Brian Quick have been pessimistic.
He seemed lost. Generic. Not much of a standout. In the first preseason game, he was invisible.
And there was much worry.
Then came preseason week 2.
He gave ‘em hell.
Entering with the second offense, working with quarterback Kellen Clemens, he went from a vanilla receiver to “Nestle’s” Quick. In a short span, he had three receptions for 20 yards.
Oh yes, and it just happened to take place indoor on turf. Dare we say, he might be the next “Greatest Show on Turf?” Quick got a good laugh at the connection.
“What a coincidence,” he said. “It turned out that way, but you laugh about that. I mean, it is kind of funny it happens and we’re playing indoors.”
The Quickness was also robbed of a TD.
Working out of the slot on his first catch, Quick ran a short drag route, but muscled his way for additional yardage after the catch. On his second reception, Quick used his size and strength to get position on Chiefs cornerback Stanford Routt (not a second-team defender) and fended off a contested catch on a five-yard slant. Quick then beat veteran corner Jacques Reeves on a slant inside the 10-yard line for an apparent touchdown, but replay ruled him down just shy of the goal-line.

the revelation of this post is that they care enough to do instant replay in the preseason
It's a new NFL rule. Every scoring play is automatically reviewed.
Streaky.
That sounds like the Brian Quick we know.
Has anyone heard how Pressley is doing in SD?
LAKE FOREST, Ill. — The Chicago Bears announced Monday they signed safety Mark LeGree, a former fifth-round pick in 2011 of the Seattle Seahawks.
Wish they would sign AE as well.
