NCAA launches the Kimbrough Show

Kimbrough Show

The Mountaineer defensive standout will be featured occasionally on the NCAA’s All-Access series of self-produced athletes videos. In this episode, Kimbrough introduces the D Block, you learn some nicknames (Little Tiger and Radio?), and hear the sweet sounds of special musicial guest Andrew Peacock.

Related, two suspended players are back Saturday, at least for, uh, one game? – “S Jamill Lott and WR Sean Price of App State will be eligible to play Saturday against Montana, coach Jerry Moore said Thursday. Moore originally said that the two would be suspended against Montana as well, but then said they will serve the second game of the suspension either Sept. 15 against The Citadel or Sept. 22 against Chattanooga.”

This seems un-Moore like. Sounds like a case of…Crap, we are playing Montana and these suspensions and injuries are hurting our depth! Let's switch the suspensions to the Citadel?!? We don't need them as much for that one anyway. Little surprised at this one…..

    But we beat Michigan

Love this move, sorry, but I do. This game is so big and considering the really unfortunate rash of injuries and depth issues, it is good to get some good news.

Anyone got any news if the redshirt is coming off?

The video was tight too, good stuff Kimbrough

I'll withhold judgement on the suspension change until I know what they've done to deserve the suspension. Commenting without all the facts is not productive.

In regards to suspensions if a coach says your punishment is a two game suspension, seems that they should be able to be served any game.

I'm with App03 on this one… don't get me wrong, I know we need these guys and I want nothing more than to beat Montana. But Coach loses credibility with this move. If you're going to hold people accountable, you've got to stick to your guns.

I realize that having them out of this game potentially hurts a larger group of people (the rest of the team) but part of the punishment is knowing that you let your teammates down.

I love JM but this isn't a good look for someone who is trying to reinstill discipline.

You know I look at like when we were kids, you did something and it really ticked your parents off at that time and they said your grounded for a week. 3 days later have they cooled off you were good to go. We don't know what they did it might have been very minor and Moore is covering his grounds by a suspension that maybe shouldn't have been two games. I have trust in Moore and if he is willing to move it to El' Cid then I believe its the right call.

The kids are going to sit out the two games like JM said, he didn't originally specify which games. You don't think it hurts these players any differently which games they sit out? If I was a player sitting out a game is sitting out a game, they all hurt and it serves the purpose of the punishment.

Nice video D-block (and Peacock)!!! Hopefully the players can continue to stay loose and have fun.

I'm not a fan of lifting the suspensions either. I understand it's a big game and the depth is depleted but I always thought the first rule of fight club was to "win the Socon". Why sit the players out for a conference game? Also the lack of depth hasn't changed over the past 4 or 5 days, so why wait until Thursday to announce this move instead of doing it on Monday? Seems a bit suspect. Price and Lott better come out and make an impact on this game.

This is not a good idea to launch

Anyone know when we can get into stadium lot tomorrow? Please be early?

  • App girl

Questioning what a coach does on suspensions is a bit like trying to raise someone else's children.

Winning is more important than principle. Don't let the door hit you in the backside on the way out, "Coach" Moore.

I realize our situation is on a smaller scale but, remember what everyone but Ohio State fans thought when the NCAA let Pryor and those other guys play in the bowl game and serve their suspensions later? Same type of thing.

And if the shoe were on the other foot and it was Montana doing it, I guarantee there would be people all over this board b!tching about it.

Again, the fan part of me is glad they're going to be on the field. I'm just saying it's not a good look.

I hate this but it looks like nothing has changed from the last few seasons. Just like many of today’s parents we discipline when it is convenient for us, not when it is good for the child, or in this case the program and reputation of the university. This is the same as “you are grounded but I’ll let you know when because I have to check my schedule and make sure it works out for ME”.

  • AppSteez

I hate to say it but I'm pretty sure it was a failed drug test…
