Former App standout suffers heart attack, in coma

Prayers – “Former App State basketball guard Omar Carter is in a medically induced coma after suffering a heart attack at a summer pro-am game in Charlotte Tuesday night. Carter most recently played for Limeira in Brazil where he averaged 11.8 points per game in 30 games last season.” According to a tweet docs are pleased with progress.
IMPROVING. The latest – “Stephanie Tyson said Carter, 25, was taken out of a medically induced coma by doctors early Thursday and is “up and good.” She said doctors hadn’t told her how long her son would remain in the ICU but she expected him to be in the hospital for at least a week.”
