Don't Miss

Thursday nights at The Rock

Midweek football. Twice.

Appalachian State is slated for six home games and six road games in its second season in the Sun Belt and its first campaign as a fully bowl-eligible NCAA Division I FBS program.

Thursday night home games against longtime rival Georgia Southern (Oct. 22) and Sun Belt stalwart Arkansas State (Nov. 5) headline the 12-game schedule. Both games will be televised nationally on ESPNU.

The two Thursday games bookend a three-game home streak, with Troy on a Saturday Halloween (PleaseohPLEASE let that be a night game).

With regard to the league as a whole – “Sun Belt teams will play 45 non-conference games during the 2015 season, 19 of which come against Power 5 conferences (Atlantic Coast, Big 10, Big 12, Pac 12, and Southeastern). The Sun Belt will face off with its peer conferences (American Athletic, Conference USA, Mid-American, and Mountain West) 15 times.”
